From General Manager/Okami, Guest Relations Manager

Kunihiro Shiono General Manager

We cherish every encounter with our guests.

Our inns are filled with what we call “sincerity” in Japanese.
We believe that, if all our employees are sincere in their efforts to enrich our guests' stays, while keeping in mind the Japanese sense of sincerity, the results will follow, and our guests will support us.
To this end, we have established a limit to the number of customers assigned to each member of staff. This allows us to provide attentive Omotenashi and to respond to customers' requests as quickly as possible.

In addition, we have introduced training programs for them, such as wine and sake classes, language training, flower arrangement classes, and tea ceremony classes led by outside instructors. In addition to on-the-job training, trainees who wish to become room concierges are assigned a mentor with whom they can share their feelings and seek advice.
Everything we do is for the benefit of our guests who come to enjoy their stay. We are also committed to daily training.

――― A special stay at Gora Kadan that creates an extraordinary experience.
My dream is to carry on this tradition for future generations.

Mayumi Kitamura Okami, Guest Relations Manager

It is my role to translate our gratitude for every encounter with our guests into action, and to pass on this feeling on to the next generation of staff.
I believe that we must maintain the spirit of hospitality at Gora Kadan by continuing to be like a family home in Hakone, one where our guests are always greeted with a warm smile when they return to Gora Kadan.

The ryokan has mechanisms that enable us to provide hospitality that is tailored to each individual guest.
The tradition of serving meals in the room where a guest is staying is one of the things that Gora Kadan has carefully preserved over the years, and we will serve all guests from Japan and overseas according to their food culture and lifestyle, while respecting the traditions of Japanese cuisine.

You must have a customer-first perspective and be able to work with sincerity and dedication, not only when interacting with our customers, but also your fellow staff members. If you can think of ways to make our guests happy and smile, we want you to work at Gora Kadan, a place where you can create once-in-a-lifetime encounters.

If you are interested in working at Gora Kadan, please contact our recruitment department.
We look forward to hearing from you.
